slingplayer mobile is announced
Today Sling Media, Inc. announced the release of SlingPlayer Mobile as part of a public beta. From the press release: “SlingPlayer Mobile is a new software package that gives Slingbox owners the ability to watch and control their home TV from any network-enabled mobile phone or handheld computer (PDA) powered by Windows Mobile.”
“This is an exciting time for people who want a single mobile device that does more than email,” said Scott Horn, general manager, Mobile and Embedded Devices Division at Microsoft Corp. “While Windows Mobile enables people to stay on top of their job and connected to the people they care about, the platform also supports solutions such as SlingPlayer Mobile that give users the freedom to watch their favorite television content while on-the-go.”

I came across your name on mobile2.0 conference in SF.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Scott and I am a marketing research consultant based in Toronto, Canada.
I am working on a project with a consumer electronics manufacturer who wants to learn as much as they can about the current state of/future of mobile web. We are interested in speaking w/ experts who are involved with Mobile Web in various organization (one-on-one interview) in San Francisco area between May 9th and May 15th.
We are looking for:
Professional #1: Someone dealing with mobile 2.0 integration service for a mobile service arrier like Srint/Cingular/etc…
Professional #2: someone involved with a web strategy in preparation for mobile web - someone who works for a portal would be great!
Professional #3: Academic - someone who is seen as a thought-leader in the category
Professional #4: Writer who writes for a mobile web related magazine/newspaper/blogs/websites.
