Bluetooth-Advertising.co.uk have started rolling out a Bluetooth Marketing device which is totally mobile, has a range of 100m plus and can send out up to 18 messages per second. The size of the unit is no bigger than a dvd movie case and is powered by a battery no bigger than a dvd case. The battery life on full charge is around 7 days but this all depends on the traffic and usage. The product is doing major trials in universities, shopping malls, pubs and clubs and public places. The device can be updated via bluetooth, wifi, GPRS, ethernet or USB memory dongle.
Trigger Media offers a GSM based proximity marketing based solution, that is less intrusive than Bluetooth-based setups — depending on the context of how the user is reached.

Blozzy mesed up a conference in Glasgow. We had hired a unit which they uploaded a short film. It went wrong for us. I would reccomend going with Proximitymedia.co.uk/com as the offer a more rounded service, they actual advise on how to prepare and what techniques to employ.
